A 4/20 San Francisco Events Guide (for people who have no interest in going to Hippie Hill)

Many dispensaries and SF venues are counter-programming this year against the high jinks of Hippie Hill with live music, comedy, and even “Wings, Weed & Waffles.”

The annual 4/20 smoke frenzy returns to Hippie Hill on Wednesday, and just like Outside Lands’ Grasslands, there will be legal cannabis sales in Golden Gate Park. (Oakland is also hosting a 4/20 festival in Liberation Park.) But the 4/20 event is now burgeoning beyond the stoner crowds at Hippie Hill, as the SF Chamber of Commerce hosts cannabis events to attract higher-end tourism. dollar, and several dispensaries with smoking lounges offer live music, DJs, or comedy if you prefer a softer scene than large crowds.

Here’s your 4/20 money shot of all the best marijuana high party events happening on Wednesday, April 20 or later in the week. And remember, gang, it’s only legal to consume cannabis in your home, in the designated smoking area in Golden Gate Park, or in a licensed consumption lounge at a dispensary. So don’t smoke your pot anywhere else, ’cause that would be wrong.
